All My Cousins
ProloguePrologue
To The Campbell Family:
As of this general date, it has been well over one hundred years since a man named David Campbell left his native land of Scotland and immigrated to the United States. He left Scotland for any number of reasons as will be discussed in time. But one person came to America for a new life. Today, the family that he started, has grown over the years and presently numbers, in the immediate family, forty six people and in the extended family the number rises to eighty two members. And the family that began in Syracuse, New York, now lives many different parts in the United States. As the family has grown and has moved about the country, many of you know little or nothing about your relatives, both past and present. I think that for the most part, the Campbell family members have been good people and good Americans. I think that we should all know more about our family, what the members have done over the years and what we are all dolng now.
My youngest son said to me that I never talk about my family and thus he knows some but not all of the family. And I am sure that many of you younger members may feel the same way. So it is for these reasons that I have undertaken to tell what I know about the family members, past and present, and to have as many of you as possible help me to tell as much of the story as possible. As almost the oldest living relative, I knew all of our grandparents and uncles and aunts. They were good people. I would like you to know as much as possible about them also.
So far, David G. Campbell has agreed to help me as has Bruce Campbell, cousin Barbara Campbell and my sister, Kathryn. And as well, anyone who can add to the information.
